Grandma and grandpa Tuttle came this last weekend to pick up the beef that they had cut up. Grandpa wanted to see the go-cart in action and so he hopped on and drove it around.

Ethan's Haircut and canning day.
Before:
Last weekend Ethan got his first official haircut. He did good for the most of it. He's really grown up this week and we are waiting for his two front teeth to pop through... he'll really look big then! They are right at the surface.
I've learned to can this week and have canned salsa, grape jelly, peaches, apple pie filling, and today or tomorrwo I am going to can applesause( we have tons of apples from our tree) Ethan loves apples and LOVES peaches- when I went to my neighbors (who doesn't like peaches?!) to pick them off her tree, Ethan was covered in them!

Grandpa Dan's Birthday
For Grandpa Dan's Birthday, everyone went camping. We just went up for the day since I had just had my appedix out. However, I did muster up enough energy to make him a campfire cake. I didn't do it all in one day and my sister-in-law, Alisha, helped me bake the cake and cookies too. I just had to roll the chocolate cake up and frost everything.
Ethan really wanted to get his hands in it.
Ethan always has a blast up in the mountains, he LOVES the dirt!!!!
He is so happy mommy is letting him play in the dirt too- he's playing "peek-a-boo" in these pics.
Ethan really wanted to get his hands in it.

Summer?!
It has been a whorlwind summer, I can't believe it over! Between our vaca's and visitors, it has flown by. I feel a sense of appreciation for my family grow stronger. As we are trying to take care of Grandma Hafen, I am gaining a whole new perspective on life. It's interesting how we enter and leave this world. It just makes me INCREDIBLY grateful for the Plan of Salvation and the awesome love that Jesus has for us/me. The summer was topped off last week with me getting my appendix removed. I don't think I realize how much Cole cares for me. I know each day our love grows stronger as we are building our family and new trials come through. I am also realizing and am sooooo grateful for the love family and ward members has for me too as they dropped everything (especially Grandma Margee) to take care of me and Ethan. Thank you!!!!
Last weekend I was impressed with the 15-20 men that helped some members in our ward that live across the street. They just moved in last February and have had problems with mold, and a leaky roof, and much more I don't know. I do know they weren't planning on spending thousands of dollars on that. But it's been empowering to see all the happy help they have recieved, and I am always grateful to serve. It helps me MORE than it helps them. I had to allow myself last week to let others serve me. As I got to serve last weekend, I am grateful that the family let us serve them.
Anyways.... here's some pics of them roofing. They had to rip the old shingles and some board off, rebuild, shingle, and are now extending the roof out the back to help with the drainage of rain.
