It has been a whorlwind summer, I can't believe it over! Between our vaca's and visitors, it has flown by. I feel a sense of appreciation for my family grow stronger. As we are trying to take care of Grandma Hafen, I am gaining a whole new perspective on life. It's interesting how we enter and leave this world. It just makes me INCREDIBLY grateful for the Plan of Salvation and the awesome love that Jesus has for us/me. The summer was topped off last week with me getting my appendix removed. I don't think I realize how much Cole cares for me. I know each day our love grows stronger as we are building our family and new trials come through. I am also realizing and am sooooo grateful for the love family and ward members has for me too as they dropped everything (especially Grandma Margee) to take care of me and Ethan. Thank you!!!!
Last weekend I was impressed with the 15-20 men that helped some members in our ward that live across the street. They just moved in last February and have had problems with mold, and a leaky roof, and much more I don't know. I do know they weren't planning on spending thousands of dollars on that. But it's been empowering to see all the happy help they have recieved, and I am always grateful to serve. It helps me MORE than it helps them. I had to allow myself last week to let others serve me. As I got to serve last weekend, I am grateful that the family let us serve them.
Anyways.... here's some pics of them roofing. They had to rip the old shingles and some board off, rebuild, shingle, and are now extending the roof out the back to help with the drainage of rain.
